Description: Warm and sunny private 1b1b guesthouse apartment with balcony, full kitchen, and washer/dryer in unit. Espresso machine included as well as tea kettle with local coffee and a variety of teas to choose from on our “coffee cart.” Our queen sized bed is luxuriously comfortable with a fold out desk if needing to get some work done. In the Guesthouse, you’ll enjoy both pastural and mountain views as you sip your morning coffee and unwind with the relaxing sounds of the rural landscape. The space is best suited for 2 people, but can accommodate up to 4 people when using the pull-out couch in the living room. The bathroom includes a large soaking tub as well as a standing shower. We provide all of your essentials, so no need to worry if you forget anything!

Guests have access to the guesthouse apartment and included parking area. Guests are also welcome to explore our property including the shared garden and entertainment area near the waterfall. The 4-6pp barrel sauna is available for guest use 24/7. Simply press the button on the outside of the sauna to turn it on and allow ~45 minutes to heat up. Sippers and robes are provided for extra luxurious comfort. We also provide treats to share with the llamas and alpacas. You can stand at the fenceline and they will come up to you. Please do not enter the alpaca enclosure by yourself. **All guests must be accompanied by a host when entering the alpaca and llama pasture.**

We live in the farmhouse at the front of the property. You might see us out in the garden or in the pasture with our alpaca. Feel free to say ‘hello!’ but otherwise we will respect your space and privacy.

Honestly the coolest AirBnB we’ve ever been to. Whitney was so down to earth and fun to talk to. We hung out in downtown Asheville all day and then came to the AirBnB where we did the Happy Hour with the Alpacas. Whitney had set up a private table with delicious organic snacks, wine glasses, and lots of treats for the alpacas and llamas. We fed and pet them for a long time. We’re still missing Ralph, Scully, and Brinkley. The view out there was incredible with all the mountains and trees. The AirBnB itself was extremely nice with granite/quartz countertops and extremely homey. We hung out on the back deck overlooking the mountains and stars that had a propane heater for when it got cold. We cooked dinner with a very supplied kitchen. Whitney had left us organic eggs, milk, and homemade bread that we had in the morning. I cannot recommend this place enough. It wasn’t just a place you stayed at. It was an experience. The host and AirBnB are a gem. We would 10/10 do it again.

We loved our stay here! The guest house was very clean and had everything we would need. Tom and Whitney provided fresh eggs, milk and homemade bread that was made by Tom himself! We ate the whole loaf in just the weekend stay. We also used all the ingredients and made French toast with local apple butter found in town. The animals were an awesome bonus! Our 10 month old daughter loved to see them everyday. Ralph was her favorite. The whole pack would come running on over when she waited at the gate with treats that were provided. The drive in was also very easy and beautiful as well. All in all we loved our stay here and would recommend it to our friends and family!

The guesthouse at Durrant farms was perfect! Quiet, clean and full of everything I needed for a two night retreat stay near Marshall, Leicester and N Asheville.
The entire property is well cared for
with space to walk, explore and be alone in the mountainous landscape. The alpaca / llama farm is so cool and Whit and Tom are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend Durrant farms for any type of stay

Our stay at Durrant Farms exceeded my expectations and dreams! I cannot recommend this beautiful place and couple enough. Our fridge was stocked with eggs, butter, milk, and Tom made fresh bread. I was staying with both my 1 year old and my 4 year old and Whitney went above and beyond to have a high chair ready and kids toys and books for my little ones. The attention to detail in their place shows how much they truly care about their guests. Everything was beyond wonderful. You can tell both Whitney and Tom put a lot of thought into their space. They were so welcoming and had excellent communication. My daughter and son loved meeting with and feeding “the boys” and learning all about alpacas and llamas. The surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking and so very peaceful. We will definitely be back many times, I truly cannot recommend this gem enough! You will not regret booking. It’s a dream ✨

Exactly the peaceful retreat we were looking for. The alpacas and llamas were an added bonus and my wife’s favorite part of the trip. We will be back with our kids next time. Thank you Whitney and Tom!
