What an absolute gem! First off, Whitney and Tom are fantastic and so down to earth and made us feel so welcome. The guesthouse has so many quaint touches and we even arrived to some fresh bread that was still warm! The decor really made us feel at home and everything from the cozy alpaca blankets, comfy robes, sauna, and HUGE bathtub, helped really relax us for a much needed weekend recharge. All this, and I haven't even gotten to the best part, the alpacas and llamas! It was a blast getting to walk right out the door to the pasture with treats and getting to interact and love on some truly unique characters. They are all so different and loving and we had so much fun hanging out with them. I cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was and we will definitely be back.

To say that we felt welcome is an understatement. The stay was amazing. The views the location and the owners all above what we could have asked for. Everyone from from Ralph to Whitney and Tom ensured that our stay was above and beyond what we expected. Relaxing and inviting are all we could say. Thank you so much for our stay at Durrant Farms.

I travel all the time and Durrant Farms by farm is my favorite stay ever. First Tom and Whitney are such down to earth owners. I got to have wine with the alpacas and lhamas and that was the highlight of my stay. All of them were my waiters and I got to have them so close to me. Feeding them treats was amazing. Ralph is my buddy and Scully soon became a favorite too. I had brunch with them the next day and had so much fun eating outside with them. They all have their own personalities and I loved every minute with them. The house is beautiful and I slept like a baby during my stay. If you want a stay that you will talk about the rest of your life then you need to book a stay at Durrant Farms. I also recommend adding on the wine and brunch with the boys as it just adds to the visit.

We had a wonderful experience! Whitney and Tom are amazing humans who have big hearts. The Guesthouse was beautiful! The four of us had plenty of room. Our beds were extremely comfortable. The house was clean. They included breakfast food for us. There were plenty of coffee and tea options! The guesthouse was right up next to where llamas and alpaca were. The property was amazing! Their llamas and alpacas were so cool! We loved being able to feed them, pet them, interact with them, and learn their individual personalities. We have two 7 yr olds and they loved it! The llamas and alpacas were such sweet creatures and our kids had so much fun helping Whitney feed them and give them treats! We explored a little bit of Asheville and had a great time. We will be back for sure!

I recently had the most incredible experience at Durrant Farms Alpaca Farmstay, and I cannot stop thinking about it! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The farm's serene and picturesque surroundings instantly put me at ease, creating the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodations at Durrant Farms Alpaca Farmstay were absolutely delightful. The cozy cottage I stayed in was not only impeccably clean but also beautifully decorated and charming. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, making me feel right at home. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and the adorable alpacas grazing nearby was a truly magical experience.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Durrant farms! Right when we stepped onto the property we were amazed with how beautiful it is. It is a quiet place surrounded by beautiful mountains. The guesthouse was so cute and clean with a little balcony looking over the alpacas. It really felt like we were immersed in nature! Hanging out with the alpacas made the stay even more magical. Whitney and Tom were amazing hosts, and we love their commitment to sustainability and helping the environment. This is definitely one of the best places to stay in the Asheville area! We definitely plan to visit again soon.

My son and I stayed overnight at Durrant Farms because my son is a big animal lover and wanted to visit the alpacas and the llamas. Whitney and Tom were so welcoming, and he loved his time feeding the alpacas and llamas their treats. He had even more fun the next morning with the add-on brunch, which was also super delicious. It was such a lovely time, and the guesthouse is very cool. We loved it!

We recently stayed 3 days at the Guest house at Durrant Farms. Whitney and Tom were great hosts, and we equally enjoyed Brinkley and Heartbreaker (The awesome llamas). Durrant Farms has a peaceful solitude from the starry nights to the morning sunrise over the mountain views. The recently renovated accommodations were inviting & comfortable. From The Guesthouse deck overlooking the rolling pasture, we could hear the trickling of a natural waterfall. Whitney and Tom were attentive hosts creating a rich experience in harmony with nature. With exciting plans for continued development, we look forward to returning year after year. We will be back soon to meet their 4 alpacas in May. Durrant Farms is our new Smoky Mountain favorite.

Honestly the coolest AirBnB we've ever been to. Whitney was so down to earth and fun to talk to. We hung out in downtown Asheville all day and then came to the AirBnB where we did the Happy Hour with the Alpacas. Whitney had set up a private table with delicious organic snacks, wine glasses, and lots of treats for the alpacas and llamas. We fed and pet them for a long time. We're still missing Ralph, Scully, and Brinkley. The view out there was incredible with all the mountains and trees. The AirBnB itself was extremely nice with granite/quartz countertops and extremely homey. We hung out on the back deck overlooking the mountains and stars that had a propane heater for when it got cold. We cooked dinner with a very supplied kitchen. Whitney had left us organic eggs, milk, and homemade bread that we had in the morning. I cannot recommend this place enough. It wasn't just a place you stayed at. It was an experience. The host and AirBnB are a gem. We would 10/10 do it again.

Our stay at Durrant Farms exceeded my expectations and dreams! I cannot recommend this beautiful place and couple enough. Our fridge was stocked with eggs, butter, milk, and Tom made fresh bread. I was staying with both my 1 year old and my 4 year old and Whitney went above and beyond to have a high chair ready and kids toys and books for my little ones. The attention to detail in their place shows how much they truly care about their guests. Everything was beyond wonderful. You can tell both Whitney and Tom put a lot of thought into their space. They were so welcoming and had excellent communication. My daughter and son loved meeting with and feeding “the boys” and learning all about alpacas and llamas. The surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking and so very peaceful. We will definitely be back many times, I truly cannot recommend this gem enough! You will not regret booking. It’s a dream ✨

The guesthouse at Durrant farms was perfect! Quiet, clean and full of everything I needed for a two night retreat stay near Marshall, Leicester and N Asheville. The entire property is well cared for with space to walk, explore and be alone in the mountainous landscape. The alpaca / llama farm is so cool and Whit and Tom are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend Durrant farms for any type of stay.

We loved our stay here! The guest house was very clean and had everything we would need. Tom and Whitney provided fresh eggs, milk and homemade bread that was made by Tom himself! We ate the whole loaf in just the weekend stay. We also used all the ingredients and made French toast with local apple butter found in town. The animals were an awesome bonus! Our 10 month old daughter loved to see them everyday. Ralph was her favorite. The whole pack would come running on over when she waited at the gate with treats that were provided. The drive in was also very easy and beautiful as well. All in all we loved our stay here and would recommend it to our friends and family!
