Back in the spring, we officially opened our gates to the public with a one-of-a-kind grand opening celebration at Durrant Farms Estate—and we’re still smiling about it.

As our first major event on the property, this was more than just a party. It was a chance to bring our vision to life and show the community what’s possible here. From the lush garden party vibe to the alpaca photo booth, this night was full of joy, connection, and a little bit of magic.

The event doubled as a venue showcase, featuring:

• A soft semi-formal reception-style setup around our pond and pavilion
• Live music from a local band followed by a DJ set
• A light grazing menu with local drinks
• A sunset “Hidden Masquerade” icebreaker game
• A photo booth experience with our llamas and alpacas
• Guided tours of the property, including trails, the wedding cottage, and our event lawn

We hosted around 75 guests comfortably with room to spare, making it clear: this estate can host. From intimate elopements to lively receptions, Durrant Farms is a versatile event venue just outside Asheville.

The feedback we received from attendees and vendors was overwhelmingly positive. Guests loved the seamless flow between spaces—starting with arrival photos and cocktails by the pond, then gathering at the pavilion for music, games, and late-night fun.

The evening wrapped up early (10 PM sharp!) as part of our quiet hours policy, and even with a packed timeline, everything felt relaxed and well-paced. It was the perfect “practice run” for weddings, retreats, and private events of all kinds.
