Thrumming is an ancient European technique that traveled to America with settlers hundreds of years ago. It is an easy, effective & time-tested method of adding an extra layer of natural wool insulation to your knits. We realize that these days we don’t need all-over thrumming for survival like an 18th-century fisherman, but trust us, when you implement thrumming in just the right pieces: it will expand your expectations of luxurious knits in ways you can’t imagine. The merino wool knits up beautifully and effortlessly in one piece and finishes with a single seam. The pillowy soft merino roving is added and will form a custom felted cushion that surrounds your feet in luxurious warmth.

• 1.5 Oz. merino roving
