🎃 Falling Leaves & Fluffy Friends

Dear friend to our fluff brigade,
October wrapped the farm in golden light, chilly mornings, and more love than we knew one month could hold. One of our favorite moments came on Halloween, when we had the honor of hosting our dear friends Taylor and Daniel’s wedding. Costumes, laughter, and love mingled together in such a unique way, and it was an honor to be part of their beautifully spooky beginning.
As the sun began to set, their ceremony unfolded right at that beautiful in-between moment of dusk and twilight. They absolutely leaned into the Halloween theme in the best way: hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns lined the aisles, skeletons lounged across the lawn and dangled playfully from branches, and their unforgettable mummy prosciutto-and-cheese sculpture stole the show. It was spooky, whimsical, and somehow so tender — the perfect juxtaposition of their bright, grounded love against a delightfully eerie backdrop.
Big love and gratitude to Taylor and Daniel for entrusting us with such a magical, joy-filled day. And a big thank you to the the other 3 couples who chose to say “I do” on the farm this October! Taking part in celebrations of love and connection has been such a gift!

🥞 Brunch With the Alpacas: Closed for the Season
As the weather shifts and our boys grow fluffier by the day, we’re officially closing out our brunch season until spring. Thank you to everyone who shared biscuits, iced coffee (Ralph can’t get enough of the stuff), and sweet moments with the herd this year — it was our busiest season yet!
As we head into our slow season, we look forward to thinking up all the ways that we can improve this special offering of ours to ensure the most alpaca-tastic moments for all our guests!
While brunch is on pause, the farm is still open for event bookings year-round. We simply ask that all visits be reservation-only with no drop-ins during the winter months.

🎉 Fluff & Birthdays: Celebrating the Boys!
October was full of alpaca milestones, and the barnyard was practically humming with birthday sweetness.
🎂 Heartbreaker turned 4 on October 12th — and lived up to his name with extra posing and soaking up every ounce of attention he could get.
🎂 Brinkley (4) and Micah (7) shared a birthday on October 19th. They’re two of our gentlest, most tender-hearted boys, and they celebrated exactly how you’d expect: calm, observant, and keeping watch from their favorite hilltop perch where they supervise the entire pasture like wise old souls.

🎂 And finally, Scully — our rambunctious sweetheart with the softest nose on the farm — turned 3 on October 30th. He’s playful, silly, and always the first to trot over in hopes someone might be waiting with a treat. He may be growing up, but he’s still very much the herd baby.

We adore watching them grow year after year, each with their own quirks, personalities, and charms. Thank you to everyone who has visited, cuddled, and loved these boys right alongside us — they truly feel it.
🍂 Grateful for This Season Together
As we close out our busiest season yet, our hearts are full. Hosting your celebrations, brunches, and simple moments of connection has been such a gift. Thank you for showing up for this land, for the boys, and for us.
We’re looking forward to a season of slowing down as winter arrives — though if we could bottle the fall colors and keep them forever, we absolutely would. Until then, we’re savoring the last bursts of red and gold and preparing the farm for a quiet, restorative season ahead.
Util next time, stay warm, stay tender, and stay connected,
The Durrant Farms Team
